As any business owner can testify, your very first year in business is the hardest. My first year has been a bloody nightmare. I am a 26 year old mother of 3 who thought owning a shoe and hand bag store was an absolutely fantastic idea…so I bought one…literally. I have a couple years of business school, but no formal training. So its safe to say I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. And trust me I’ve made every single mistake there is to make, with the exception of hiring nine10 Inc. Within a week of “unleashing the Sole Addiction spell” Grande Prairie residents were flocking downtown to satisfy their cravings for desirable shoes and handbags. And I am so very proud to confess that for the past SIX months, Sole Addiciton has seen an average increase in monthly sales of 45%. AMAZING!!!! The story doesn’t end there. Have you seen my website? Hard to believe that a local marketing company from small town Alberta can produce an online store that literally outshines the corporate competition. Which is probably why Im shipping shoes to Ireland:) It’s nearing my first anniversary as the owner of Sole Addiction, and I still don’t have a clue what Im doing. But nine10 has a plan, and I know I’ll be okay as long as I have them to support me. You may have heard my radio ads rant “Intriguing men and women confess; my sole addiction is shoes” and trust me this is true… I love shoes. However I think its safe to say that my true ‘Sole Addiction’ is nine10 Incorporated.

In the past month I have had astounding comments from industry professionals at Summit Salon Business who see all sorts of salon websites, I had the same feedback from BOTH developers at 2 different communication companies, and from our new representative at demandforce. It’s such a proud moment as an entrepreneur to have such respected advisors comment on it! As an added bonus, I had a great stylist who is moving to GP apply to the salon, when I asked her why she applied with us her answer was “I was so intrigued by your website! Using Canva is surprisingly very easy, and there are so many things to do! I will be using it for more creations down the road.

The TV stand and the pop up display worked very well. Although we ended up spending more than we had hoped to initially, we are pleased with our decision as the quality of both is excellent and they both function very well. We will benefit from the ease of transition both stand and display have of changing the pictures on them while saving our initial investment in the hardware.

Although we purchased both for our Enframe company, we are already planning on how we can use both for our Eldor tradeshow booth next year (Eldor and Enframe will be in separate shows). So over the next six months or so, I will want to start planning the backdrop for Eldor’s booth, and will most likely want extra components as well, as we plan to have a larger booth for Eldor Trusses.
