For over 20 years, Cris has been involved in the design and marketing industry. She added entrepreneurship to her resume in 2006 with the founding of nine10 Incorporated.
Cris’ Strategy role at nine10 covers both clients and nine10. She leads high-level branding and digital marketing strategy for clients, and is the program lead for the nine10 Digital Marketing Bootcamp. Currently she is learning marketing automation and fills the Operations role at the company.
Over the years, Cris been a part of many different community organizations. Some past examples include board and chair positions on both the GP Chamber of Commerce board and the GPRC Business Administration Advisory Committee. Currently Cris is a board member on the Grande Prairie Downtown Association, is the Vice Chair on the Community Futures Grande Prairie & Region Board, and sits on the Swan City Rotary Club board as Sergeant at Arms. Most recently, Cris joined the GPRIN board in early 2021. This board and committee experience has ignited a passion for Cris in governance and parliamentarianism, along with policy and bylaw work.
Creatively, she likes to learn new skills such as video, animation, and sound engineering along with learning anything to do with plants. Her current personal projects include producing and hosting two podcasts: Fancy Plants Podcast and Blood on the Prairie (releasing September 2021). Aside from these, Cris is working toward a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in History with a minor in Political Science.
Cris was also the recipient of the 2015 GPRC Steps to the Greater Alumni Award.
