Donna Wilson approached nine10 to develop a brand that reflects her personality. She also wanted to make a strong impression on her clients, composed largely of first-time home buyers.
Her logo needed to:
- Stand out boldly in a cluttered marketplace.
- Embrace the personal.
- Be unafraid to be different.
- Eschew cliched images of houses and keys.
Her website also needed to stand out and provide a friendly, easy-to-use tool for her clients to find the perfect home.
Early in the discovery process, nine10 identified Donna’s need for a brand identity that walks a line between professional, smart, and personable. Although she’s ambitious and tough when needed, Donna’s approach is to treat every one of her clients like friends by helping to shepherd them through the process with patience, consideration and honest help.
We explored several logo options based on the concept of openness, fresh starts, and new growth. After numerous revisions and explorations, we developed the hybrid window/leaf icon. The design and tyography were intentionally modern, clean, and fashionable.
