Fixing “Cannot Verify Server Identity” on iPhone

Summary

Change the Incoming Server Host Name and Outgoing Server Host Name for your email account to:

  • mail.hostedemail.com

This will stop this message from happening.

How to Make This Change

1. Click on Settings

2. Tap on Accounts & Passwords

3. Tap on your email account

4. Tap on Account up top

5. Change the Host Name setting to: mail.hostedemail.com

6. Tap on SMTP near the bottom

7. Tap the top button under Primary Server

8. Change the Host Name setting to: mail.hostedemail.com

9. Exit out of the screens. You should see blue checkmarks as you move out.

10. Exit out of the Settings and try checking your mail. It should work and not give you this warning anymore!
