Copywriter / Content Specialist

Full-Time Permanent

The Copywriter/Content Specialist works effectively with clients to gather information and write content for various long-form marketing channels such as websites, print materials, blogs, and more.

This position is open to local or remote candidates.

Job Duties

  • Copywriting (70%)
  • Paid Social Advertising and Adwords Support (10%)

  • General Internal Responsibilities (5%)

Copywriting (70%)

  • Interview clients to gather raw information for use in creating long-form content
  • Sort, organize and prioritize information in a way that helps clients achieve marketing goals
  • Write goal-centric copy for multiple marketing channels on any platform, including websites, blogs, seo, email, print materials, online marketing channels, etc.
  • Coordinate directly with clients during the proofing/revision process, including proactive client management while managing scope/budget.
  • Coordinate closely with the nine10 team to:
    • Develop copy for multiple platforms
    • Verify that all parties understand the project
    • The produced work is in line with client brand and campaign requirements

Paid Social Advertising & Adwords Support (10%)

  • Occasional support in copywriting for digital advertising using multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Ads
  • Occasionally assist with reporting on key metrics
  • Coordinate closely with the nine10 team to:
    • Assist in campaign direction, creative, schedules and budgets
    • Develop copy for paid digital advertising
    • Develop copy for organic social media
    • Continue training and learning about digital advertising platforms

Internal Marketing (15%)

  • Assist with nine10’s marketing on all relevant channels
  • Coordinate closely with the nine10 team to:
    • Contribute creative, fun ways to market our services
    • Create, execute, and monitor marketing efforts
    • Ensure brand-compliance

General Responsibilities (5%)

  • Ensuring client satisfaction using exemplary customer service skills in person, on the phone, and over email
  • Join all team members in answering incoming calls
  • Follow company systems and procedures
  • Bring forward ideas on how improve company systems and/or procedures

Salary & Benefits:

  • Starting wage: Dependent upon experience. Room for further advancement with yearly performance reviews.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects, have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high energy environment. An entrepreneurial spirit is most welcome.

  • Education in marketing and/or writing, or equivalent experience
  • Proven professional copywriting skills, real-world examples preferred on multiple marketing channels
  • Ability to create questions and interview clients specific to their marketing needs
  • Sound understanding of writing for traditional and digital marketing channels, most notably long-form content
  • Desire to continuously learn digital marketing principles
  • Exceptional client relations and interpersonal skills
  • Quickly learn about a new industry and understand how to reach the target markets of that industry
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office, Internet, Google Apps
  • Graphic Design and/or knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus but not mandatory
  • Love of being a team player to get the best end result possible

Location:

This is a remote or local position. We are accepting resumes for remotely located employees who can be available sometime between the hours of 7:00 am – 7:00 pm MST; preference will be given to those who can work with us at our downtown Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada office.

Training:

Don’t necessarily have all the skills, but think you’ve got what it takes? The most important skill to bring to this job is proven copywriting experience and client relations. We will train digital marketing on the job for the right candidate.
