Why would I choose a Brand Identity instead of just a logo design?

The instinctive thing for a designer to do when creating a logo is to sit down at a computer and just start drawing. The problem with this is how easy it makes it for the designer to create something that has absolutely no meaning to you or your business - even if it ends up looking OK as a graphic.

In our years as designers we have seen countless poorly designed logos and wondered "what were those designers thinking?" But then we realized, they weren't!

That's one of the things that we set out to change when we started nine10. We wanted to have a design company that takes the time and thought to do things right the first time. Not just slap something together overnight or do it as an afterthought while we're creating a brochure.

When we design your brand identity, we take the time to learn about your company, customers and competition. We want to know what sets you apart, who your ideal customer is, and how to best communicate these values to that customer. We want the finished product to not only look fantastic, but to be full of meaning.

And while your logo is very important, it is only one part of your Brand Identity Package. In the process we also help you select official colors and fonts for your company, design your corporate stationery (business card, letterhead and envelope), and help you come up with a clever tagline. We then document all of these things in a Brand Style Guide and create a CD with digital files for you to keep.

By the time we have finished branding your company, you will have a fairly solid foundation and direction for the design of your future marketing materials.
