Marketing Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Planning and Coordinating Client and Internal Marketing Campaigns
  • General Market Research

Responsible for Result:

  • The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for successfully developing, implementing, and measuring client and internal marketing campaigns.

Job duties:

Planning and Coordinating Client and Internal Marketing Campaigns

  • Discover and research markets applicable to client needs
  • Develop and record long-term strategies to reach client target markets using traditional, digital, and social media
  • Liaise with clients to establish goals, present measurements, and develop improvements
  • Assist in campaign budgeting
  • Track and report on goals, measurements, and improvements.
  • Coordinate closely with the nine10 team, including Account Manager, Graphic Designer(s), Marketing Manager, and Web Developer to:
    • Develop the creative for the campaign
    • Verify that all parties understand the project
    • Ensure deadlines are understood and met
    • The produced work is in line with client brand and campaign requirements

General Market Research

  • Research and report on the latest technologies, social media developments, business and marketing developments, and other innovations applicable to client or internal marketing successes
  • Research and report on the local, regional, and western Canadian markets, including demographics, new developments, and other information that may benefit clients or the internal team
  • Determine ways to take advantage of markets, market segments, and both traditional and modern developments for clients or the internal team.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects, have strong communications skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high energy environment. An entrepreneurial spirit is most welcome.

Candidates should also have good working knowledge of both traditional and digital media and experience in executing multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously to meet business goals and objectives.

  • Marketing (or related) diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Sound understanding of traditional and digital marketing principles
  • Strong understanding of new technologies and how they can be applied to marketing
  • Create innovative ways to reach new or existing market segments for clients and nine10
  • Exceptional client relations and interpersonal skills
  • Intuitively learn about a new industries and understand how to reach the target markets of those industries
  • Ability to assist in managing campaign budgets
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills - MS Office, Internet
  • Graphic Design and/or knowledge of the Adobe Create Suite would be a major asset
  • Love of being a team player to get the best end result possible
